Teacher and Staff Appreciation Era May 6-10th

We would like to invite our PARENTS and STUDENTS to partner with our PTSA and join us in our Teacher and Staff Appreciation Era week from May 6-10th! Here are the event activities and ways to make this Teacher and Staff Appreciation Era Week UNFORGETTABLE!

Friendly reminder to keep the gifts to the BVSD EMPLOYEE LIMITATIONS ON ACCEPTING GIFTS guidelines. Please also remember that some gifts might not be best to gift at Meadowlark School so consider making arrangements for those “special” gifts to make it to those Meadowlark Staff members. Please remind your student that if they don’t have a physical gift they can always use Meadowlark staff resources at the school to help them generate ways of gifting without taking from outside resources such as dandilions, rocks, neighborhood flowers, etc. Tokens of Gratitude are everywhere if we learn how to appreiciate each other!

Monday May 6, 2024 – Make it Bloom Extravaganza

Flowers are not only a way to confess your love but also an opportunity to express appreciation. Every Meadowlark Staff loves receiving sincere appreciation for their hard work: TRUE TEACHERS devote their hearts and souls to preparing children for adulthood and the real world. Meadowlark is filled with those Staff who are our Student’s “True Teachers” and who devote their time towards our Students. Consider appreciating all the Meadowlark Staff who make a difference in your student! If you find you have too many flowers to appreciate, consider seeds for all to grow in their gardens! We hope you can make Meadowlark Staff Bloom with your appreciation!

Teachers and Staff play a significant role in shaping our lives, nurturing our talents, and encouraging us to grow. They are the unsung heroes who deserve all the love and gratitude we can shower upon them. Use this template if you need a place to start otherwise take the time to write a sweet note to let your special Meadowlark Staff know you appreciate them!

Wednesday May 8, 2024 – Breakfast and Compliments Galore

Meadowlark Teachers and Staff don’t just teach—they prepare us for the road ahead. Saying you appreciate that effort reminds them that their impact goes beyond the classroom. A compliment is an expression of respect or admiration, like, “You’re such a good teacher,” or “You know how to make great lunches!” or “I like how you listen to me when I have a problem!” Keep them coming. Compliments are always welcome, because they usually make people feel good. It’s saying something nice about someone or something. Teach, model, and demonstrate those compliments or – polite remarks – that you make to someone to show that you like their appearance, appreciate their qualities, or approve of what they have done. Keep those compliments coming all day!

Thursday May 9, 2024 – Our Staff Never Goes Out of STYLE

Dress like a staff member or wear their favorite color today! Students can show appreciation for Meadowlark Staff and the role they play in nurturing their young minds by fostering a stronger bond between them and dressing up or wearing their favorite color! Choose a Meadowlark Staff Member that you appreciate!

Friday May 10, 2024 – Tokens of Gratitude

Bring a Meadowlark Staff Member one of their favorite things today! When you build relationships with people you learn about all the ways you can thank and appreciate them. Sometimes it’s a simple act or gesture such as a note or picture that they can come back to on a difficult day. Others might enjoy items that help keep them postive throughout the day such as a special treat. Consider a gift that students are involved in that is made out of love and sincere messages of thanks and appreciation.Friendly reminder to keep the gifts to the BVSD EMPLOYEE LIMITATIONS ON ACCEPTING GIFTS. Please also remember that some gifts might not be best to gift at Meadowlark School so consider making arrangements for those “special” gifts to make it to those Meadowlark Staff members. Please remind your student that if they don’t have a physical gift they can always use Meadowlark staff resources at the school to help them generate ways of gifting without taking from outside resources such as dandelions, rocks, neighborhood flowers, etc. Tokens of Gratitude are everywhere if we learn how to appreciate each other!
