On October 24th, students at Meadowlark entered the school to some Indian tunes in celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights.

Diwali is the celebration of light over darkness, the victory of good over evil. It is one of India’s biggest festivals and is celebrated by Hindus all around the world. During this festival, people light up their houses and shops with Diyas (oil lamps) and Kindeels (lanterns) are hung in front of homes.
