Many Hands Make the Load Lighter…….It Takes a Village to Raise a Child….or Pull Off a Carnival and Silent Auction……. Alone We Can Do So Little, Together We Can Do So Much……Teamwork Divides the Tasks and Multiplies the Success……Individually We Are One Drop, Together We Are An Ocean…..

You get the idea right?

Do you have memories of playing some of these?   Basketball Connect 4, Basket Toss, Cake Walk, Can Toss, Down the Clown, Duck Match, Fishing Game, Football Throw, Lollipop Tree, Mystery Door, Ping Pong Toss, Prize Table, Ring Toss, Soccer Kick, or the Time Warp Game? Maybe you still jump in there when at an amusement park or parking lot carnival!

Do you have memories of you or your kids participating in a – Photo Booth, Tattoo Booth, Face Painting, Human Hamster Balls, Jousting, Bike Course or Kayaking?  Well, if you do, you know how much fun these are. If you don’t – the Meadowlark Mingle Carnival is the perfect place to create these memories.

Have you ever been to an event where you purchased game/booth tickets for your kids or bought them food at the concession stand?  Well, we will have those too!

Of course a carnival and silent auction wouldn’t work if you didn’t include Ticket Tables, Prize Tables and Auction Assistants!

Raising up leadership in our children takes an example from us of involvement, of lending a hand to another, of seeing a need and filling it.  Raising up leaders in our children takes us, each of us, to model what we want to see in them. Please take time to review all the opportunities to model hands on involvement at the Meadowlark Mingle and choose something you can do.  I have included a personal note from Jessica Diamond, Meadowlark parent and Team Captain for the Meadowlark Mingle. I am asking that each of us take the time to read it and personally consider volunteering for one thing on her list.

Do it with your kids or lend a hand while they are somewhere in the Carnival on campus making memories of the Meadowlark Mingle.  It is up to you.
