From Sept 4–19, we’re rallying our Meadowlark community to raise $65,000 ($85,000 stretch goal) for field trips, electives, enrichment programs, and so much more! All of the things that make Meadowlark the BEST place to learn and grow. And then? We celebrate in the most Meadowlark way possible: ✨ The Mav Dash Color Run + Movie Night! ✨

Color Run FAQs

🏆 The Goal: $65,000! ($85,000 stretch)

If we hit our goal, our teachers and staff will race in blow-up costumes. Yes — it will be every bit as ridiculous and amazing as you’re imagining! 🎉 And the prizes? Oh, we’ve got them. From individual wins to huddle bragging rights to whole-school celebrations, there’s something for everyone.

* NOTE: This year we’re starting to shift away from multiple large fundraisers and moving toward a “one ask” model (hopefully starting in 26-27). Our fundraising goal is roughly 18% higher than last year, giving Meadowlark extra support to enhance current programs and provide even more opportunities for our students through PTSA. If we can reach our stretch goal we are that much closer to a one ask model for 2026-2027.

🗓️ Save the Dates

Sept 4–19 → Fundraising fun! Share your child’s page, challenge grandparents, get the neighbors in on it.
Sept 19 (during school exact times TBD) → 🎨 Mav Dash Color Run! Watch our Mavericks glow (literally).
Sept 19, 5:30–8:30 PM → 🍿 Movie Night under the stars. Kids are picking the movie — we’re just bringing the popcorn!

Who gets to participate in the actual Color Run?

All Meadowlark students K–8 are invited to join the Color Run! Participation is not dependent on fundraising, but families will need to sign the school waiver (coming soon). This event isn’t just about fundraising—it’s about bringing students together for a fun and memorable experience!

On run day, families can purchase color packets for a few dollars if adults would like to join in on the color-throwing fun. The real inside scoop: parent volunteers who sign up to help at color stations will get to be the official throwers (sign-up coming soon!).

As always, appropriate and respectful behavior is expected so everyone can enjoy the day!

🏃 What to Wear (Hint: This is messy!)

Students, staff and color volunteers are asked to wear a any white tee shirt that can get doused in color as well as “play clothes” on sept 19th. We also recommend sunglasses, bandanas, neck gaiters, or masks for extra protection as there will be color powder being tossed.

No need to cook — we’ve got dinner AND entertainment handled. Wash up after the color run and head back to Meadowlark!

🕠 When: Starting at 5:30 PM — grab dinner, claim your spot, let the kids hit concessions
🌙 Showtime: Movie begins at dusk (once the stars are out, the big screen lights up!)
🪑 What to Bring: Chairs, blankets, and your Maverick spirit ✨

💡 Quick Tip: Skip the kitchen, skip the dinner dishes! Bring a blanket or chairs, grab dinner from the trucks, let the kids raid concessions, and kick back for a perfect Friday night.

🏃 Inclusion, Sensory Concerns, and safety!

The Mav Dash Color Run is all about participation in a way that best fits your student’s needs!

Students can walk, jog, dance, enjoy the course at their own pace, or cheer in the cheering section—every level of participation counts. We’ll have volunteers stationed throughout the course, a first-aid area on-site, and optional masks for those who want them.

The color powder is non-toxic, washable, and safe for skin and eyes. Every student can be part of the fun! Those who prefer not to run are invited to join our cheering section to encourage their classmates. We’ll also have protective masks available for anyone who wants to participate while avoiding the color powder.

If your student would like to opt out, please indicate this on the student waiver Meadowlark will be sending out to all families.

💰 Keep More Funds Going to Meadowlark

FundHub does charge a small platform fee to process payments. Families have the option to cover this fee at checkout, but it’s not required. If the fee isn’t covered, the Meadowlark PTSA simply absorbs it — and we’re proud to say our PTSA consistently leads in maximizing fundraising dollars for school programs.

We chose Get Movin’ FundHub because they make fundraising simple, and they take student and donor security seriously. With Get Movin’ FundHub, we can confidently fundraise knowing our students’ information and your donations are safeguarded at every step.
